The neutron transfer reaction 14 O(d,t) 13 O at a deuteron energy of 34.6 MeV has been analyzed within the Modified Distorted Wave Born Approximation (MDWBA) framework. The angular distribution of the reaction was calculated and compared with the available experimental data to investigate the reaction mechanism and determine the degree of peripheral character at the main angular-distribution maxima. The analysis demonstrates that the reaction is predominantly peripheral in the angular region corresponding to the principal maxima, indicating that the measured cross section is sensitive to the asymptotic part of the 14 O→ 13 O+n overlap function. Exploiting this peripheral behavior, an experimental asymptotic normalization coefficient (ANC) for the 14 O→ 13 O+n configuration was extracted for the first time. The resulting ANC value is [Formula: see text] =610.91±52.54 fm -1 . This result provides an important experimental constraint on the asymptotic properties of the 14 O ground state overlap and demonstrates the applicability of the MDWBA method for extracting reliable ANC value from peripheral neutron transfer reaction.
