This paper reports the results of a systematic review of a sample of recently published works focused on guidelines and principles for the design of digital interfaces for children in creative educational contexts. The purpose was to analyze, select, and define specific criteria for designing an information visualization interface to support activities related to children’s creative imagination. Based on the analysis and selection, a taxonomy of design criteria was developed, organized into three categories: content, form, and function, with accessibility as a cross-cutting theme. The goal was to ensure an inclusive user experience that is appropriate for the diversity of children.
