Religious radicalism is a social issue that threatens the harmony of multicultural communities in Indonesia. The spread of radical ideology occurs not only through social environments but also via digital media that is easily accessible to the public. This study aims to analyze the strategies employed by Islamic religious extension officers to counter radicalism within the multicultural community of Mukti Jaya Village, Rantau Pulung District. A qualitative descriptive approach was adopted, utilizing data collection techniques such as interviews, observation, and documentation. The study's informants included Islamic religious extension officers, community leaders, and administrators of majlis taklim (religious study groups). The findings indicate that radicalism prevention strategies are implemented through three primary approaches: education, community outreach (dakwah), and social modeling. Islamic religious extension officers instill values of religious moderation, tolerance, and noble character through children's Quranic education (TPA), majlis taklim activities, and broader community engagement. Supporting factors include the backing of the village government, religious leaders, and the community, while a hindering factor is the tendency of a small segment of the population to limit social interaction with their immediate surroundings. The study demonstrates that Islamic religious extension officers play a crucial role as agents of religious moderation in maintaining multicultural community harmony and preventing the spread of radical ideology.
