Haematuria is one of the reasons why dog owners visit the vet’s surgery. Given the increasing number of clinical cases presenting symptoms of haematuria, it was decided to analyze the causes of this condition in dogs and evaluate them. The aim of the study was to present the most common diseases of the canine urogenital system in the Lublin region in which haematuria is present, and to assess the usefulness of imaging diagnostics in dogs with symptoms of haematuria and the effectiveness of treatment for selected urogenital diseases based on these findings. The study found that the most common cause of haematuria in the 53 dogs examined was prostate cysts, which were found in 22 male dogs. The second group of dogs with haematuria comprised 21 dogs with cystitis, 15 females and 6 males, while in 10 cases the cause of haematuria was urinary stones, with 5 males and 5 females affected.
