Purpose. The purpose of the study: to determine the effect of the circuit training method on the functional state of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems of female students who play volleyball. Material and methods. The study was conducted on the basis of the Kharkiv Professional Pedagogical College of the municipal institution "Kharkiv humanitarian-pedagogical academy" of the kharkiv regional council. It was attended by 20 female students who are engaged in the volleyball section, aged 15-18 years. The participants of the study were divided into an experimental (10 people) and a control (10 people) group. During its conduct, the following research methods were used: theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and scientific-methodological literature, observation, Stange test, Genchi test, measurement of resting heart rate, pedagogical experiment, methods of mathematical statistics. Results. The study analyzed changes in the functional state of the cardiovascular and respiratory systems of female athletes under the influence of classes organized using the circuit training method. The use of the circuit training method had a positive effect on resting heart rate, which underwent significant changes in the girls of the experimental group, in contrast to the control athletes. The indicators of the Stange and Genchi tests also changed positively, but not significantly. The article provides examples of exercises performed at each station of circuit training, and provides recommendations for their implementation. Conclusions. The proposed methodology can be used both within the framework of organizing training sessions and during independent additional classes. Classes using the circuit training method can be conducted in a limited space using improvised equipment and materials, which is relevant during online training. The practical recommendations and suggestions set out in the content of the article will help students effectively organize independent classes at home.
