Environmental degradation and socioeconomic inequality expose the limitations of economic approaches that treat ecological protection primarily as a technical, regulatory, or market-correction problem. Islamic economic thought offers a normative vocabulary of stewardship, justice, moderation, and accountability, yet the translation of these principles into an integrated framework for production, consumption, finance, and governance remains uneven. This conceptual paper develops a Sharia Green Economy (SGE) framework through theory synthesis and conceptual model building. It distinguishes three complementary layers: the tawḥīdic worldview as an ethical-ontological foundation; maqāṣid al-sharīʿah as a normative framework for evaluating welfare, harm, and justice; and green-economy practices as the operational means through which these commitments may be enacted. The proposed framework comprises five interdependent dimensions: (1) spiritual-ecological responsibility, (2) ethical production and consumption, (3) Sharia-compliant green finance, (4) socio-environmental justice, and (5) sustainable governance and accountability. A comparison with existing Islamic green-economy and Islamic sustainable-finance literature indicates that the defensible contribution of SGE is not the claim to be the first integration of Islam and environmental sustainability. Rather, it is the explicit architecture connecting moral foundations, maqāṣid-based evaluation, operational dimensions, accountability mechanisms, and testable propositions. Six propositions are advanced to guide future inquiry. The framework remains conceptual and requires expert validation, indicator development, and empirical assessment before it can be treated as a validated model or measurement scale.
