Representational media condition what distinctions can be stated, what transformations can be checked, what ambiguities remain available, and what identities can be stabilized. This paper develops meaning crystals as a bounded architectural metaphor for representational systems whose units, relations, composition rules, interpretation regimes, canonicalization procedures, provenance, authority, evidence, defect handling, and revision rules give semantic material a relatively stable form. The metaphor is not a physical theory of thought. "Entropy," "cooling," "density," "lattice," "defect," and "phase" are qualitative labels unless an exact measure and observation regime are supplied. Natural language is not literally a high-entropy crystal, and MCIR is not literally a cold material. Natural language is better described here as a high-plasticity semantic medium that tolerates productive ambiguity; MCIR is a governed canonical representation regime intended to expose commitments before lowering or effect. The paper distinguishes syntactic crystallization from semantic crystallization. Syntactic crystallization stabilizes form under declared parsing, typing, serialization, and transformation rules. Semantic crystallization stabilizes a bounded interpretation and binding posture through explicit identity, provenance, authority, admissibility, evidence, refusal, and revision. Neither establishes truth, reference, legitimacy, or executability by itself. MCIR is treated according to the broader corpus as a Meta Constitutional/Compilation Intermediate Representation, with a source family also using Meta-Compilation Intermediate Representation. Meaning Crystals does not adjudicate those identity surfaces. It uses MCIR as the principal example of a representation that combines locally legible structure, shared composition, and separate receipt lineage. It does not reduce MCIR to an AST or equate canonical bytes with canonical meaning. The resulting framework replaces a single metaphorical entropy axis with a multidimensional quality vector, defines a governed crystallization pipeline, connects the work to Semantic Crystallization, the Crystallization Gradient, Meaning as Binding, Semantic Computing Infrastructure, Semantic Debt, GMB, and the universal GSM, and places the proposal in the full realization funnel. No physical, cognitive, empirical, implementation, conformance, or publication claim is made.
