The transformation of contemporary education requires the introduction of innovative pedagogical strategies that encourage students to become active participants in the learning process. Critical thinking and independent learning have become essential competencies for academic achievement, professional development, and lifelong education. This article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations of innovative teaching strategies and their potential contribution to students' cognitive independence, analytical abilities, and reflective learning. The study employs qualitative literature analysis, comparative examination of pedagogical approaches, and conceptual synthesis. Particular attention is given to problem-based learning, collaborative instruction, inquiry-oriented activities, and digital learning environments. The analysis suggests that innovative teaching strategies may facilitate deeper understanding when they are supported by purposeful instructional design, constructive feedback, and meaningful assessment practices. The study emphasizes the importance of integrating technological resources with student-centered pedagogical principles rather than treating technology as an independent determinant of educational quality.
