Choosing a career asks learners to bring together information that is often found in different places: their interests, current skills, education options and the requirements of different occupations. This paper proposes CareerElevate, a web-based guidance system for school students, college students, recent graduates and people considering a career change in India. Its main workflow collects a learner profile, conducts an adaptive assessment, compares the profile with career records, identifies skill gaps and uses those gaps to prepare a learning roadmap. The design also includes resume feedback, text-based interview practice, career comparison, learning-resource discovery and reminders for selected examinations and scholarships. The proposed implementation uses a Next.js progressive web application, a FastAPI backend and PostgreSQL, with a server-side Gemini integration for explanations and selected support tasks. Career ranking will be calculated from stored profile and career data; generated text will explain, but not determine, that ranking. English, Tamil and Hindi are the planned interface languages. This paper sets out the design and an evaluation plan. The platform has not yet been evaluated with users. The planned evaluation will examine the relevance of career suggestions, whether explanations are understandable, whether roadmaps address identified gaps, and whether the service is usable, accessible, secure and reliable.
