This study examines the relationship between internship experience and job readiness among final-year university students in Garut, using self-efficacy as a mediating variable. This study employed a quantitative methodology, collecting information using a questionnaire survey. Final-year university students in Garut constituted the study population. A sample of 100 respondents was selected using the Slovin formula. Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) was used to analyze the data. The results showed that self-efficacy and job readiness were positively and significantly influenced by internship experience. Furthermore, the relationship between internship experience and job readiness was partially moderated by self-efficacy, which had a positive impact on job readiness. These results highlight the important role of good internship opportunities and increased student confidence in enhancing graduates' readiness to enter the workforce. Universities can use the findings of this study to create more effective internship programs with a focus on career skill development.
