In this study, we propose a method for identifying the bending stiffness of a large adaptive elastic floating body from the perspective of damage detection. As a mathematical model for inverse analysis, we adopted a coupled eigenvalue analysis based on the continuous conditions of the fluid and the floating body’s motion speed, and obtained the coupled eigenvalues through numerical calculations using a determinant search method. A variable parametric projection filter is used as the inverse analysis method. In this study, we verify the characteristics and applicability of this method through simulation inverse analysis.
