As technological competition between China and the United States intensifies, Huawei’s development has become a key case study for examining Chinese techno-nationalism. The launch of Huawei’s Mate 60 series has made it a symbol of breakthroughs in advanced semiconductor technology. Treating this event as a significant milestone in Huawei’s technological innovation, this paper asks: How has techno-nationalism manifested in Huawei’s development following the imposition of sanctions against the company, against the backdrop of U.S.-China technological competition? This paper argues that this event was not merely a corporate product launch or an act of market competition, but also a concentrated manifestation of the interaction between national strategy and corporate policies within the context of Chinese techno-nationalism.
