The rapid development of digital media has transformed the patterns of disseminating religious discourse, positioning YouTube as a strategic platform for promoting the values of religious moderation in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze how NU Online constructs the discourse of religious moderation through the Menjadi Indonesia program on YouTube by employing Teun A. van Dijk’s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) framework. The research adopts a qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation and documentation of episodes of the Menjadi Indonesia program and analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The findings reveal that NU Online represents religious moderation through four key indicators: national commitment, tolerance, anti-violence, and accommodation of local culture. National commitment is constructed through discourses of transformation, service (khidmah), and constitutional jurisprudence (fiqh al-dustūr). Tolerance is represented through perspectives of openness and Humanitarian Islam, while anti-violence discourse is articulated through critiques of conflict roots, reinforcement of political reform, and the decentering approach in Islamic studies. Meanwhile, local culture is positioned as an effective medium for conveying Islamic values. Overall, NU Online constructs an inclusive, contextual discourse of religious moderation oriented toward strengthening national values, while simultaneously contributing to the development of critical discourse analysis and digital Islamic media studies.
