In the current study, an occupational health framework is developed. Additionally, the effectiveness of the safety training implemented at Apex Roller Flour Mills, located in Coimbatore, India, will be evaluated. As many hazardous conditions exist in working environments, it is vital that safety training is effectively implemented and that safety procedures are practiced within the work place for the protection of employees and for the productivity and efficiency of operations. However, differences in training quality and differences in workplace safety practices could affect the overall effectiveness of safety training. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to determine how safety training quality impacts and to evaluate how workplace safety practices impact the overall effectiveness of safety training. This study will utilize both quantitative and descriptive designs. Data collection for this study was completed utilizing a structured questionnaire based upon a five-point Likert Scale with 159 participants via convenience sampling. Descriptive statistics (mean, SD), Inferential Statistics (Chi-Square, ANOVA) were employed for data analysis. The results indicate that both practical demonstration and trainer expertise are very important in the success of the training, whereas the time allocated to training and the emergency response training are areas where there is room for development. The study has identified a correlation between the quality of safety training and its effectiveness. Additionally, the research demonstrated the positive impact of work experience and educational qualification on the safety training quality. The study suggested using different methods of practical training, developing a stronger culture of safe practice in the workplace and developing a tailored approach to training. Ultimately the study concluded that an organised OH framework that supports effective training and good safety practices are key to improve employee safety and organisational efficiency.
