Pedagogical and instructional practices grounded in Participatory Action Research contribute to the agroecological education of young people. Between November 2025 and June 2026, students from CBTA 222 in Cochoapa, Guerrero, joined a learning community to carry out a methodological process that enabled them to understand and acknowledge the realities and challenges surrounding local food production; this process led to the design of a Community Action Research Prototype (PIAC). This methodology integrates a six-phase instructional sequence and encompasses a series of actions and activities aimed at collaborative work to co-design agroecosystems featuring native maize and bean varieties, thereby fostering food self-sufficiency and the stewardship of life. This agroecological training proposal fosters situated, collaborative, and reflective learning as well as critical thinking among students, enabling them to link their school with the community, in alignment with the principles of the New Mexican School methodology
