Gasification ranks among the most significant approaches for biomass usage, the gasification characteristics of corn stalk in a laboratory-scale internal circulating fluidized bed gasifier were investigated using the computational particle fluid dynamics method. We analyzed how temperature, equivalence ratio (ER), and steam-to-biomass ratio (S/B) influence gasification characteristics. The results showed that as the gasification temperature increased from 700 to 900 °C, the molar fractions of CO and H2 in the product gas increased from 12.9% and 9.6% to 16.6% and 13.3%, respectively, with the low calorific value of the product gas, in turn, showing an increase from 5.4904 to 5.6402 MJ/m3. As the ER value rose from 0.21 to 0.31, the rate of carbon conversion experienced a rise from 73.55% to 78.32%. As there was an increase in the S/B value from 0.2 to 0.8, there was a rise in the molar fraction of H2 starting from 11.5% to 15.3%; in contrast, the mole fractions of CO and CH4, in turn, decreased from 14.8% and 6.9% to 12.9% and 5.5%.
