Introduction: Coral symbiotic crustaceans maintain close associations with their hosts, which may be obligate or facultative. In addition to their dependence on corals for survival, these organisms play an important role in the health and persistence of their hosts. However, there is still limited information regarding the spatio-temporal variation in their biomass and the factors regulating it. Objective: This study analyzed the spatio-temporal variation in the taxonomic diversity and biomass of symbionts associated with pocilloporid corals in the Mexican Central Pacific, as well as their relationship with environmental variables and benthic structure. Methods: A total of 48 samples were collected from four coral ecosystems over two years during the rainy and dry seasons. Results: A total of 29 species were identified. Alpha and Beta diversities showed significant seasonal differences, with higher biomass values recorded during the dry season. Conclusion: Temporal variation was the main component influencing assemblage structure and biomass increase, which was associated with greater resource availability. This was likely driven by an increase in recruitment and food availability.
