Fatty liver is a significant metabolic disorder in dogs, often linked to insulin resistance, endocrine dysfunction, nutritional imbalance, or prolonged medication use.Herb-All™ LIVER, a natural herbal blend, has been widely used in livestock and aquaculture but its efficacy in pet animals remains untested. This study evaluated its efficacy in 11 mixed-breed dogs presenting with hepatic and renal disorders, following prior treatment with steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.Dogs were randomly assigned to receive either conventional therapy (Ornipural ® injections) or Herb-All™ LIVER as a dietary supplement over a one-month period under veterinary supervision.Clinical assessments, blood biochemistry, hematology, liver and kidney function tests, serum lipid profiles, and ultrasonographic examinations were conducted before and after treatment. Both treatment groups showed improvements in clinical signs and organ function.Notably, the daily cost of therapy using Herb-All™ LIVER was approximately 92% lower than Ornipural ® , suggesting that this herbal preparation may serve as a cost-effective alternative in managing fatty liver-associated complications in dogs.
