In the present research work, a novel hetero-binuclear complex has been synthesized by the complexation reaction between Ni (II) Schiff base N,N’–1,2–ethylenebis(o-hydroxyacetophenoniminato) Nickel(II) and Rubidium salt of Acetyl Salicylic acid (ASPIRIN). The adduct is stable crystalline solid of harvest golden colour, non-electrolytic and diamagnetic in nature, and yield is good. The structure of the synthesized hetero-binuclear complex has been proposed on the basis of investigative results obtained from elemental analysis, solubility, Magnetic moment and Molar conductance measurement, FT-IR spectrum, and Electronic Absorption spectrum. The results show that in adduct Ni (II) Schiff base N,N’–1,2–ethylenebis(ortho-hydroxy acetophenoniminato)Nickel(II) acts as “Bidentate Ligand”. The molecular geometry of the synthesized hetero-binuclear complex is found to be square planar about 〖"Ni" 〗^"2+" "ion" and there is no change in geometry about 〖"Ni" 〗^"2+" "ion" during adduct formation from nickel Schiff base complex. The Formula of the synthesized complex is given by [Ma L Mb L’].2H2O Where Ma = Ni2+, Mb = Rb+, L = N,N’-1,2-ethylenebis(ortho-hydroxy acetophenoniminato) dianion, and L’ = Acetyl salicylate.
