One-dimensional kagomé strip chain (KSC) systems are ideal platforms for studying geometrical frustration; however, their experimental explorations remain extremely scarce. Herein, we report the hydrothermal synthesis of a new KSC compound, Ag2Cu5(TeO3)(SO4)3(OH)4. Magnetic measurements indicate that this compound possesses a long-range antiferromagnetic order at TN = 3.6 K and exhibits a dominant ferromagnetic interaction in the system (θcw = +20.1 K), where field-induced metamagnetic transition can be observed under an applied magnetic field. The structural and magnetic comparisons with the Na/K analogues are also performed. The present results enrich the KSC family and show a cation-substitution effect in such quantum magnetic systems.
