Several surgical techniques are available for craniosynostosis, from endoscopic strip craniectomy to open cranial vault remodelling and distraction osteogenesis. Minimally invasive endoscopic surgery followed by helmet therapy gives excellent results in early infancy [1, 2], but its effectiveness depends strongly on the patient's age, and the choice of technique in older children and in syndromic forms requires precise preoperative assessment [3]. Clear criteria linking imaging findings to the choice of operation are still lacking in many centres.
