The relevance of the topic is determined by the growing complexity of organizational processes, technological change, business uncertainty, and the increasing importance of the human dimension of management. Contemporary organizations require approaches that support adaptability, employee participation, productive teamwork, continuous learning, and timely responses to change. Under these conditions, a leader’s ability to understand organizational behaviour, regulate interpersonal interaction, and develop personal competencies becomes an essential component of management practice. The article discusses modern management methods through the interconnection of managerial tools, organizational psychology, and the personal development of a leader. Attention is paid to the features of agile management, Lean management, objectives-based management, OKR, delegation, empowerment, coaching, mentoring, facilitation, teamwork, and continuous feedback. The discussion covers the psychological conditions that influence the application of these methods, including organizational trust, psychological safety, open communication, employee responsibility, readiness for learning, and acceptance of change. Consideration is given to the relationship between the selected management method and the professional and psychological maturity of a team, as well as to the risks associated with excessive control, formal participation, insufficient autonomy, and the mechanical transfer of practices between organizations. A separate focus is placed on the personal qualities and competencies that enable leaders to use modern management methods appropriately in different situations. The issues of self-awareness, emotional intelligence, reflection, adaptability, self-regulation, empathy, active listening, systems thinking, and constructive conflict management are addressed. The article also considers the distinction and relationship between management methods, managerial tools, and leadership style, since their practical combination shapes interaction between a manager and employees. The questions discussed are viewed within an integrated framework connecting the managerial task, the psychological characteristics of the team, the organizational environment, and the leader’s readiness to choose and apply a particular method. This perspective is relevant for organizations operating under prolonged uncertainty, emotional pressure, remote or hybrid work arrangements, and the need to maintain employee engagement and organizational resilience.
