Fragrances create the positive effects and pleasantly fumigating the atmosphere. Nonetheless, volatility and stability of the good scents are eased to be deteriorated or loosen by the environment in addition to factors abided with production and storage. Fragrance encapsulation is a promising method to maintain fragrances’ releasing, protecting the fragrances from environmental factors that impair longevity. Multiple emulsion-based polymer/silica hybrid microcapsules for longevity improvement of fragrances were developed with PEG-400, PVP K30 and Pluronic F-127, and HPMC. The encapsulation systems were characterized and challenged onto their control release of methyl furfural and its homolog, furfuryl alcohol, the representative of hydrophobic and hydrophilic fragrances. Fragrance longevity was indicated to be achieved through 240 h of the studying period with all of the developed systems as well as stability. The encapsulation systems prepared with the sol-gel method that is feasible for the production in terms of a reduced energy consumption that is accountable as one of the promising strategies achieving sustainable production. The offering cargoes with the particle size of 0.27–3.04 μm presented would be suitable for different dosage forms, and practically applied in consumer products.
