A copper-catalyzed difunctionalization of alkenes is reported. This one-pot, multicomponent peroxidation protocol uses inexpensive Cu(II) salt as a catalyst to generate an N-centered radical from N-fluorobenzenesulfonimide (NFSI), enabling radical-type aminative peroxidations via single-electron transfer (SET). The resulting products feature both bioactive sulfonamide and peroxide moieties, which can be readily transformed to various useful derivative molecules.
