Rapid advancements in digital technologies and the growing importance of online video content are transforming the way information is created, distributed, and consumed. Video sharing platforms are becoming key environments for communication and knowledge exchange, placing high demands on content management and discovery. In this context, metadata plays a crucial role in structuring and optimizing video resources. This paper examines the principles of automated metadata structuring, analyzing their nature, types, and functions in a web-based environment. The study covers trends in the development of video platforms as well as technological aspects related to video coding, video compression methods, and user interface components. Particular emphasis is placed on the automated generation of metadata through multimodal analysis, which integrates audio, visual, and textual information. The conclusion highlights the importance of automated metadata structuring for the functioning and development of video sharing platforms. It also emphasizes the role of multimodal approaches in achieving more accurate description and interpretation of video content, with the aim of improving indexing, search, and personalization processes, and creating conditions for more efficient management and delivery of video content.
