Digital channels are reshaping how commercial banks compete. Uzbekistan offers a useful case: a young population, rapid privatization of state-owned banks, and a regulator that actively promotes instant payments, digital identification, and open-banking infrastructure. This article examines how the development of digital banking services affects the competitive position of commercial banks in Uzbekistan, using data from the last two years (2024–2026). A descriptive, secondary-data design was applied. Indicators were collected from the Central Bank of Uzbekistan (CBU) annual reports and statistical releases, the CBU Financial Stability Report 2025, the World Bank Financial Sector Assessment (2025), the ADB financial-inclusion work, and recent academic and press analyses. Growth rates, shares, and ratios were calculated by the author from the published figures.
