Son et al. (2026) conducted a case report in In-stent restenosis of the proximal right coronary artery with acute distal filling defects during balloon angioplasty (n=1). Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS)-guided manual aspiration thrombectomy followed by paclitaxel-coated balloon angioplasty was evaluated on Angiographic resolution of acute distal filling defects and restoration of distal flow. Intravascular ultrasound identified acute intraluminal debris after balloon dilation of in-stent restenosis (MLA 2.59 mm²), guiding manual aspiration that achieved complete angiographic resolution.
