The article examines the impact of digital transformation on the fundamental foundations of crime investigation. The thesis is substantiated that modern challenges require not just the addition of new “digital” elements to the traditional forensic arsenal, but a systemic restructuring of the investigation model itself. The key directions of this transformation are analyzed: the transition from reactive to proactive tactics, the integration of network analysis and predictive modeling, and the changing role of the investigator in a hybrid (physical-digital) environment. The purpose of the article is to identify the key areas of transformation of the tactical and methodological arsenal under the influence of the digital environment and formulate the principles of innovative approaches that can ensure eff ective counteraction to modern crime. A systematic transformation of the basic model of the investigation is needed, a revision of its principles — from the sources of information and the logic of building versions to the tactics of individual investigative actions and the role of the investigator himself. This article is an attempt to conceptualize this process. The author’s concept of the evolution of the tactical and methodological arsenal is proposed, focused on the management of information flows and the symbiosis of procedural actions with the analytical processing of big data.
