This study examined the economic enterprises of selected cities in Metro Manila focusing on key areas such as the demographic profile of respondents, the assessment of existing economic enterprises, and the identification of significant differences in respondents’ assessments across these areas. Prior studies on the economic enterprises of cities in Metro Manila—particularly in the management of public markets, cemeteries, and slaughterhouses—highlight the complex challenges and potential solutions faced by urban authorities. These studies underscore the importance of efficient market infrastructure, adequate sanitation, and stringent safety protocols in fostering vibrant marketplaces that support local economic development. The study also sought to gather insights from various stakeholders, including city administrators, employees, and community members, regarding their perceptions of economic enterprise management. Furthermore, the study developed proposed sustainability measures and evaluated their suitability, acceptability, and feasibility from the perspectives of these stakeholders. A descriptive research design was employed, involving employees and administrators from selected cities in the Metro manila. Respondents were selected using Slovin’s formula, in combination with purposive and simple random sampling techniques. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and analysis of variance (ANOVA) to assess perceptions of economic enterprise management and the proposed sustainability measures. The findings revealed that economic enterprises were generally rated from Very Good to Excellent across all evaluated dimensions. While no significant differences were found in respondents’ assessments of the suitability, acceptability, and feasibility of the proposed sustainability measures, significant differences emerged in perceptions regarding the acceptability and feasibility of the proposed sustainability program.
