The purpose of this study was to adapt the Internal Dialogical Activity Scale–Revised Form (IDAS-R) into Turkish and to examine its psychometric properties. The study was conducted on two independent samples. The original eight-factor structure was not confirmed; instead, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses supported a 27-item, three-factor structure comprising Interpersonal Dialogues, Internal Conflict Dialogues, and Self-Reflective Dialogues, with the final model demonstrating generally acceptable fit. The subscales demonstrated good internal consistency and composite reliability, and the total scale showed high internal consistency. Significant correlations were found between the scores on the Interpersonal Dialogues, Internal Conflict Dialogues, and Self-Reflective Dialogues and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, Life Satisfaction Scale, and Quick Big Five Personality Test, which were used to assess criterion-related validity. The findings indicate that the types of internal dialogues, which are distinguished in greater detail in the original IDAS-R, can be organized around broader psychological functions in the Turkish version.
