Trichothelium sp. Notes. Specimen 20279 G had few perithecia, most of which had damaged or missing setae. Although the hymenia and ascospores were in good condition, the absence of sufficiently intact setae, an important diagnostic character in Trichothelium, prevented confident identification. The available morphological characters broadly resembled those of the specimens provisionally identified as T. cf. epiphyllum. However, the sequences of specimen 20279 G did not group with those of the specimens in either the mtSSU or ITS phylogeny. The specimen was therefore retained as a separate, unidentified taxon rather than assigned to T. cf. epiphyllum. Its 7 - septate ascospores measured (32 –) 32.5–37.2 (– 38) × (4.7 –) 5.3–6.3 (– 6.5) µm (n = 13). Specimens examined.
