This study developed hollow amidoximated styrene–acrylonitrile (SAN) fibers using a novel emulsion-assisted solution forcespinning strategy for enhanced uranium adsorption. The fabricated hollow SAN fibers, with their unique core architecture, provided superior surface accessibility and faster mass transfer compared to solid fibers. This resulted in excellent uranium adsorption performance, achieving a maximum capacity of 190 mg g -1 , approximately 1.4 times higher than that of solid fibers. This work presents an innovative approach to fabricate high-performance adsorbents for efficient recovery of uranium from aqueous solutions.
