This study asks whether digital government strengthens urban economic resilience and whether fintech amplifies this effect. Using balanced panel data for 295 Chinese prefecture-level and above cities from 2018–2023, we estimate two-way fixed-effects models. Digital government is positively associated with urban economic resilience, and the relationship remains stable across reported robustness checks. Channel tests show positive associations with financial activity and government intervention, while fintech significantly strengthens the digital government–resilience relationship. Effects are more pronounced in eastern and highly open cities. The findings identify digital governance and fintech as complementary capabilities for resilient urban development.
