This protocol describes a pulmonary artery thrombectomy technique that combines stent deployment and negative pressure aspiration to achieve rapid thrombus removal and restore pulmonary arterial perfusion. Prolonged obstruction may lead to right heart dysfunction and hemodynamic instability. The pulmonary artery thrombectomy stent system provides a rapid approach to thrombus removal and restoration of pulmonary perfusion, thereby alleviating respiratory distress and hypoxemia while reducing pulmonary vascular resistance and right ventricular strain. This technique is applicable for patients with intermediate- to high-risk pulmonary embolism, particularly those with contraindications to thrombolysis. Preoperative computed tomography imaging revealed pulmonary artery emboli involving both the left and right pulmonary arteries and their branches. Following thrombectomy using the pulmonary artery interventional thrombectomy stent system, postoperative imaging confirmed complete clearance of the thrombi and full restoration of pulmonary artery blood flow.
