In 1935 Albert Einstein, Boris Podolsky and Nathan Rosen asked whether the quantum-mechanical description of physical reality can be considered complete, and they answered no. I credit that paper at full strength: EPR did not dispute a single quantum prediction. They built a two-system state with perfect correlations so that a measurement choice made on one system fixes, with certainty, either the position or the momentum of a distant system it no longer interacts with, and, given their two premises, the inference that follows is valid: simultaneous elements of reality for position and momentum, and with them the incompleteness of the wave-function description. What I price is the pair of premises that inference is bought with: the criterion of reality — if, without in any way disturbing a system, we can predict with certainty the value of a physical quantity, then there exists an element of reality corresponding to that quantity — and the separation premise — at the time of measurement the two systems no longer interact, so no real change can take place in the second system in consequence of anything that may be done to the first. Neither premise is derived in the paper; both are spent as definitions, and the conclusion is exactly as strong as the pair, no stronger. On declared inputs only, my bench prices the conjunction of the two premises, not either premise alone: an exhaustive enumeration of all 16 deterministic local-realist assignments returns every assignment at |S| = 2 exactly — 8 at S = +2 and 8 at S = −2 — so the conjunction forces the bound |S| ≤ 2, while the declared spin-singlet correlation at the standard angles returns S = −2.828427, |S| = 2.828427 = 2√2. The gap is 0.828427 — the quantum return exceeds the bound the premises force by 41.421356 per cent of the bound — and the excess is a band, not a tuned point, running 2.449490 at 15 and 75 degrees and 2.732051 at 30 and 60 degrees across the declared sweep. John Bell is credited at his own address as the later address that made this conjunction testable, in 1964; the experimental record since runs against local realism, stated plainly. Grade for this census entry, printed at full size: **REASON FOUND / STILL TURNING** — explicitly not a kill and not a falsification. The program headline stands unmoved: **vacuum catastrophe NOT SOLVED / PARTIAL, producing-count 0.**
