Aphidius autriquei Starý, 1985 Fig. 2 Aphidius autriquei Starý, 1985 in Starý et al. 1985: 21, 133–140, figs 1–9. Material examined VIETNAM • 3 ♀♀, 1 ♂; NW, Tonkin, Hoàng Liên N. R., 15 km W of Sa Pa; 1900 m a.s.l.; 15–21 Oct. 1999; C. van Achterberg leg.; Malaise trap; RMNH • 1 ♂; S, Central Highlands, Lam Dong, Bidoup Nui Ba, N. R., nr Da Lat; 1650–1700 m a.s.l.; 11–19 Oct. 2005; C. van Achterberg and R. de Vries leg.; Malaise trap [s] 1-12; RMNH. Remarks Aphidius autriquei was described from Burundi (Starý et al. 1985). Specimens were reared from mixed colonies of Rhopalosiphum padi (Linnaeus, 1758) and R. maidis Fitch, 1856 from corn, and probably from a sample with Aulacorthum solani (Kaltenbach, 1843) (Starý et al. 1985). The authors presumed a pantropical distribution for A. autriquei. This species is easily distinguished from congeners by the yellow colouration of the last two flagellar segments, along with the first one, in females (Fig. 2A–B). Males are slightly darker, with a yellow tip on the last flagellar segment or the last two flagellar segments. Our specimens have the same colour pattern on the antennae but show a more variable forewing venation pattern (e.g., the R1 metacarpal vein is equal to or clearly shorter than the pterostigma (Fig. 2E), while in the original description the R1 metacarpal vein is “somewhat longer than pterostigma”). In the examined material, the pterostigma is about 5.0 times as long as wide (Fig. 2E), while in the original description, the pterostigma is more elongate, about 6.0 times as long as wide. Cryptic speciation within A. autriquei is possible, but more material from interjacent areas is needed for further taxonomic research. First record for Vietnam.
