This study examines how users and urban design experts perceive the ecological aesthetics of Karşıyaka Peynircioğlu Stream Park in İzmir, Türkiye, identifying convergences and divergences. A qualitative case study design draws on field observations, walking interviews, and semi-structured expert interviews. Water elements, native vegetation, and green continuity enhance aesthetic experience and place attachment for both groups, evoking everyday experiences among users while being interpreted by experts as intentional design strategies; maintenance gaps, however, weaken these perceptions. The study shows that aesthetic experience depends on sustained management, offering guidance for design and post-occupancy practice.
