Village-Owned Enterprises (BUM Desa) and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) support rural economic development and community welfare. However, limited understanding of simple business contracts may create uncertainty regarding rights, obligations, and legal protection. This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge and contract-drafting skills of BUM Desa managers and MSME operators in Rancakalong Village, Rancakalong District, Sumedang Regency. Activities included outreach, presentations, demonstrations, drafting exercises, interactive discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. Materials addressed contract functions, legal foundations, validity requirements, essential clauses, parties' rights and obligations, and risks of breach and disputes. Observations and post-test results indicated improved participant understanding of these topics. Participants also gained foundational skills in preparing simple sales agreements and business cooperation contracts. The program encouraged careful consideration of contractual terms and greater awareness of written agreements as tools for preventing disputes and protecting business interests. These findings suggest that practical legal education can strengthen orderly business administration and legal awareness among rural entrepreneurs. Continued mentoring and contract-drafting practice are recommended to help participants apply their knowledge consistently in daily transactions and establish more sustainable contractual practices within their local businesses.
