This study explored how psychosocial safety climate (PSC) helps address teaching challenges and supports working conditions that promote teacher wellbeing. Through an explanatory case study, it analyzed interview, focus group, and document data. Embedding PSC principles in the participating school's systems and frameworks and their consistent enactment by school leaders was found to help address teaching challenges such as excessive workload and student behavioral issues, while helping teachers feel valued, confident, included, and engaged in meaningful work with greater autonomy. The study's PSC–Teacher Wellbeing Model illustrates how the implementation of PSC-embedded systems and practices strengthens perceptions of PSC and supports teacher wellbeing.
