Spin-based multivalued logic offers compelling advantages for next-generation computing. Thus far, only binary systems─exploiting domain walls, skyrmions, and vortices─have been realized. These schemes rely solely on the manipulation of the chirality or polarity of magnetic carriers, precluding the implementation of multivalued logic operations. Here, we demonstrate the implementation of ternary logic operations using a one-dimensional vortex chain, via the co-manipulation of both the chirality and polarity of magnetic vortices. We show that ternary AND logic functionality can be achieved via dipole-mediated chirality modulation and domain-wall-assisted polarity reversal in the vortex chain, with operation times on the nanosecond scale. Our work establishes a viable and scalable platform for multivalue magnetic logic, thereby paving the way for next-generation spintronic logic applications.
