Corridos have long served as cultural texts through which Mexican and Mexican American communities preserve collective memory and transmit community knowledge. This article develops the concept of the corrido as cultural pedagogy, arguing that contemporary corridos produce and circulate Chicano knowledge outside traditional educational institutions. Drawing upon Chicana feminist theories and Borderlands epistemology, it analyzes Fuerza Regida’s lyrical narratives, linguistic practices, aesthetic representations, and cultural positioning. The analysis demonstrates how the group’s music communicates belonging, identity, aspiration, community values, and borderlands ways of knowing, illuminating contemporary corridos as vehicles for knowledge production and cultural transmission in the twenty-first century.
