After reviewing the research program known as generalized information theory (GIT) and research efforts within this research program to find justifiable ways of measuring information-based uncertainty and the associated uncertainty-based information, a new approach to measuring uncertainty/information is introduced that is applicable to theories of uncertainty/information based on convex sets of probability distributions of any type.
