A variety of methods of testing induction motors to determine their efficiency is recognized in the world. When tests under load are not made, operating characteristics are universally calculated by the equivalent circuit with a single rotor loop. IEEE Std 112, the test procedure used in the United States, recognizes the use of a single load point in combination with Method F to adjust equivalent circuit parameters in order to determine the expected performance at other loads. This combination of methods is iterative and not simple.
