The magnetic susceptibility of chromium has been measured from -195^ to 1440^ and is found to increase from 3. 4210^-6 to approximately 4. 3010^-6 emu per gram at the highest temperature. A transition is recorded in the region of 1400^ marked by a sharp increase in susceptibility and a temperature hysteresis.
