A three-point correlation function for the distribution of galaxies is defined and is estimated for the Zwicky catalog. The function varies like a simple power of angular scale. The index of the power law is close to twice the index for the two-point function, in agreement with the prediction of a gravitational instability model, or, more generally, with the assumption that the clustering satisfies a simple scaling property over the range of lengths for which we have estimates of the correlation functions.
