Should the Lamin A/C gene be included in genetic testing for patients with suspected ARVC?
Lamin A/C gene testing should be added to desmosomal gene panels for patients with suspected ARVC, especially when conduction disease is present on ECG.
Lamin A/C gene mutations can be found in severe forms of ARVC. Lamin A/C gene should be added to desmosomal genes when genetically testing patients with suspected ARVC, particularly when they also have ECG evidence for conduction disease.
Quarta et al. (Fri,) studied this question.
