Abstract : A field experiment was conducted in Iran to test the effects of cross-cultural training materials on leader behavior and effectiveness. This study is part of a larger project which seeks (a) to identify differences in concepts and behaviors which are critical for effective interactions with members from another culture, (b) to design an appropriate training program which alleviates these difficulties, and (c) to test the effects of the training in appropriate work contexts.
