Is the Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire a valid, reliable, and prognostic measure of health status in patients with HFpEF compared to HFrEF?
Patients with heart failure with preserved and reduced ejection fraction (HFpEF and HFrEF)
Kansas City Cardiomyopathy Questionnaire (KCCQ)
Performance compared between HFpEF and HFrEF
Validity, reliability, and prognostic ability of the KCCQpatient reported
The KCCQ is a valid, reliable, and prognostically useful tool for assessing health status in patients with HFpEF, performing comparably to its established use in HFrEF.
Among patients with HFpEF, the KCCQ seems to be a valid and reliable measure of health status and offers excellent prognostic ability. Future studies should extend and replicate our findings, including the establishment of its responsiveness to clinical change.
