That may be overstating a bit, but we are pleased to announce several changes and updates for our beloved journal with the start of the new year. Some of these changes are new for our community, while others mirror approaches of our peer journals. I should stress that these initiatives are experiments, and we will assess their effects and community reactions in the coming months. Emphasizing our commitment to disseminating science, we are now streamlining the process of submitting papers to Evolution if they are already in bioRxiv or other preprint servers. Simply send us an email (to evoedoffice@wiley.com) giving the link to the pdf in a preprint server and add text to the email saying, “I am first/corresponding author on this paper and consent to its submission to Evolution for consideration of publication.” You will then receive an invitation from our manuscript submission system that has already been populated with most of the metadata.
