The rate constant for isomerization of cyclopropylcarbinyl to allylcarbinyl has been measured by EPR spectroscopy. It can be represented by: log(ki/s-1) = (12.48 ± 0.85) - (5.94 ± 0.57)/θ, where θ = 2.3RT kcal/mol. This reaction is compared with other primary alkyl radical isomerizations.
Maillard et al. (Fri,) studied this question.
